SubsidyCalc is a read-only reference site. We are committed to keeping your experience private and simple. This policy explains what data we collect (very little) and how it is used.

What We Collect

SubsidyCalc uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects anonymous usage data including:

Pages visited and time on page
Referring website or search engine
General geographic region (country/state level)
Device type, browser, and screen size

This data is aggregated and anonymous. We use it solely to understand which pages and tools are most useful so we can improve the site.

What We Do Not Collect

No personal information — We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any identifying information
No accounts or logins — There is no registration or sign-in on this site
No health or financial data — Calculator inputs (income, household size) are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to our servers
No cookies beyond GA4 — We do not set any first-party cookies. The only cookies on this site are those set by Google Analytics
No advertising or tracking pixels — We do not run ads or use any third-party tracking services beyond GA4

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service used on this site is Google Analytics 4. Google's privacy policy governs their data handling: policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months under our GA4 configuration, after which it is automatically deleted.

Children's Privacy

SubsidyCalc does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The site contains no interactive features that request personal data from any user.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Given the minimal nature of our data practices, significant changes are unlikely.
